Are you looking for a capable, versatile midsize SUV? The 2025 Kia Telluride is a great option for families, adventurers, or any driver who wants a spacious SUV for everyday driving. Performance

Every 2025 Kia Telluride comes with a 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces a robust 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, more than enough to provide plenty of zip and make every drive plenty of fun. The 2025 Honda Passport gets a 3.5-liter turbocharged I4 that produces 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. With the same torque rating, both models provide ample thrust when you accelerate, but once you get up to speed, the Telluride provides more pace on Poughkeepsie roads.

If you need to attach a trailer to your SUV, both the Telluride and Honda Passport provide a base towing rating of 5,000 pounds. However, the Telluride boasts an available maximum towing capacity of 5,500 pounds. That 10 percent increase can mean a lot of extra gear. The Honda Passport comes standard with all-wheel drive. While the Telluride comes standard with front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive is available on all but the base LX trim.

Technology

Every 2025 Kia Telluride gets an impressive 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, which provides intuitive controls over vehicle settings, navigation, audio, apps, and more. The touchscreen pairs with standard Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® integration, so you can easily connect your smartphone to the infotainment setup and gain access to playlists, podcasts, hands-free calls and messages, and more as you drive around Middletown. The 2025 Honda Passport only offers an eight-inch touchscreen. The smaller touchscreen makes it a bit trickier to access controls, especially from behind the steering wheel.

Both the Telluride and Honda Passport offer available 10-speaker premium sound systems, so you maximize your enjoyment of music as you drive through Kingston, NY. Telluride drivers can find a 10-speaker deluxe sound system on four different trim levels: SX, SX Prestige, SX X-Line, and SX Prestige X-Line. This means you can enjoy pristine sound quality while still customizing your Telluride with a variety of other features. The Honda Passport only equips its top-tier Black Edition trim with the premium sound system as standard equipment.

Interior

The 2025 Kia Telluride comes standard with eight seats. You can swap out the second-row bench seats with captain's chairs, reducing the total number of seats to seven while giving second-row passengers more room. The 2025 Honda Passport only has seven seats. While this does free up more room for cargo, it makes the Honda Passport less ideal for large families or carpoolers who need plenty of seats.

The Telluride also provides more leg room for passengers to stretch out and get comfortable. The Telluride has 41.4 inches of front leg room and 42.4 inches of second-row leg room. The Honda Passport has 40.9 inches of front leg room, and that half inch can make a real difference on long road trips. The real difference is in the second row, however. The Honda Passport has just 39.6 inches of rear leg room, nearly three inches less than the Telluride. Your rear passengers will really appreciate that extra leg room, especially on longer drives.

Exterior

If you enjoy customizing the appearance of your SUV, the 2025 Kia Telluride is a great option. The Telluride boasts a variety of wheel design options and sizes, ranging from 18 to 20 inches in diameter. The X-Line (available for EX, SX, and SX Prestige trims) and X-Pro (available for SX and SX Prestige trims) versions of Telluride trims add unique exterior design features. X-Line models gain a distinct grille, higher roof rails, and a suspension lift that brings the Telluride ground clearance to an impressive 8.4 inches. X-Pro models get all the X-Line upgrades, along with all-terrain tires and unique wheels.

The 2025 Honda Passport just doesn't have the level of customization offered by the Telluride. With three trims, each Honda Passport essentially says "What you see is what you get." Plus, while the Honda Passport does come standard with an impressive 8.3 inches of ground clearance, Telluride X-Line and X-Pro models exceed the fill Passport lineup with 8.4 inches of clearance.
